Info

The Athletics Department of PSV Neuss is still in its initial stages. Starting April 2018, training will begin with a group of about 10 young people aged 11-15 years.
Athletics mirror the basic human movements of running, jumping and throwing. An extensive set of rules makes individual performances in these disciplines exactly comparable and measurable.

Relay: 4x100m, 4x400m, 3x800m (W), 3x1000m (M)
Hurdles: 100m (W), 110m (M), 400m
Obstacle: 3000m
Road: 10km
Walking: 20km, 50km

Shot Put, Discus Throw, Hammer Throw, Javelin Throw

Combined events:

Heptathlon, Decathlon

In the youth categories, the track distances held at competitions are shorter. For example, the sprint distances are 50 meters and 75 meters.

General Orientation
The Athletics Department of PSV Neuss aims for the development of a harmonious body, individual self-confidence and a qualified sports education of their participants. Of course, the motto is "faster, higher, further", but participants should also learn social skills such as mutual consideration, helpfulness and fairness. On a sporting level, the participating young people are offered a diverse and broad basic education in the athletics disciplines. In the long term, this training should give young people the opportunity to compete against athletes from other clubs.
